5 Minute Timer

Take five minutes away from your screen, stretch between tasks or give a small job your full attention. This 5 minute timer is ready at 00:05:00, so a single click on “Start” begins the countdown. Five minutes is 300 seconds, and the large display helps you keep track of the time remaining without watching the clock.
Use a short countdown to tidy your desk, review a few notes or put a limit on a quick break. Press “Pause” if you need to stop temporarily and “Resume” to continue with the time left. “Reset” stops the countdown and returns the selection to 5 minutes, even if you started with a different duration. You can change the duration using the columns, the adjustment buttons or the keyboard.
Turn on “Sound” for an audible alert when time is up, and use “(Check)” to test the sound before you begin. An end message appears when the countdown finishes; closing it stops the alert. If automatic audio is blocked, use “Play sound” in the message. Press “Restart” after the timer finishes to repeat the duration you last used.
If browser storage is available, your running or paused timer is restored when you reload this page in the same browser. This page saves its state separately from the general online timer and the 10 minute timer, so you can return to it without changing their countdowns. Keep the page open for the end notification. Sound may be delayed while your device is asleep or the browser suspends the tab.
